Dame Vivienne Westwood and her designs have been turning
heads in the fashion world since she burst onto the scene in 1971. Dressing the
Sex Pistols in 1976 led her to be known as one of Punk’s key influencers
throughout the seventies and beyond.
Vivienne is equally famous for her passion of making the
world a better place, publicly campaigning for human rights and climate change
among other worthy causes.
Showcased at February’s London Fashion Week, Vivienne’s
latest Red Label collection reflects her signature style, historical garments
with a contemporary twist (and tartan, of course!).
To celebrate the birthday of Britain’s rebellious Queen of
Fashion, take a look at some of her finest moments, straight from our archive.
