 Being an ardent follower, trawler and scourer of every aspect of Style and Design over these many years I'm for ever amazed at the vast number of ladies that have an unbelievable passion and appetite to own more shoes than they can truly wear unless it is for just one occasion.

There are and were a number of shoe designers and brands that were "to die for" and amongst them was Manolo Blahnik. - Manuel 'Manolo' Blahnik Rodriguez CBE

Manolo was born to a Czech father and a Spanish mother, lived in the Canaries and came to London 1968 having graduated out of Geneva. one of the first design commissions that he gained was from Ozzie Clark.





When one walks along any high street any where in the world you'll always find a shoe shop. Now in the middle of a semi recession here in the UK with all the high streets having unlet shops and even with all Mary Portas' efforts to sort it the shoe shops survive!!
