'A Classic with a Twist'
With London Fashion Week only
around the corner, here at the office we can not wait to see what British
designer Sir Paul Smith has in store
for us.
As one of the most
influential and highly respected designer who has been recognised for his
contribution and influence on British fashion since the late 1970s, Paul Smith has gone from strength to
strength. Having had the pleasure to meet Sir
Paul Smith on several occasions, it has been delightful going through our
archives to showcase a collection of his work which has graced the pages of
some of the leading fashion magazines over the years including GQ, Vogue and
Esquire to name a few.
It is hard to believe that
a young boy from Nottingham who left school aged 15 with no qualifications or
career prospects several years later would be the mastermind behind a £325
million international business operating in Asia, Europe
and North-America. Sir Paul Smith’s
story is one of many entrepreneurs who are a shining beakon of hope for the
younger generation. Smith made his
first appearance on the fashion scene in 1976 in Paris when he showcased his first menswear
collection under the Paul Smith label.
