Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel started out with a small millinery shop in Paris back in 1908. Her designs became so popular that she went on to register as a 'couturière' in 1919.

With her classic designs and signature fragrance Chanel No.5, Coco soon became one of the leading names in fashion.

Today her legacy lives on through designer Karl Lagerfeld, who continues to revolutionise the Chanel brand while keeping elements of Coco's vision.
