A Heady introduction to the undoubted artistry of Philip Treacy

A Heady introduction to the undoubted artistry and pure intuitive talent of Philip Treacy

Philip has worked with the greatest designers and has been superbly supported throughout his 'reign' over the last 20 years

We have many more articles and pictures on this Heady subject and particularly with regard to Philip Treacy who has not only mastered the artistic skills of millinery but also interior design as found in a hotel in Galway in his native West Ireland

Our archives go back to the early seventies and we've noted the enormous increase in interest in millinery and headwear generally all of which makes for a very eye catching attraction.

Philip has designed dramatic hats for the stars of screen and TV and has been honoured for his contribution to Fashion.

Having graduated in Dublin he then was accepted at The Royal College of Art in Kensington where he majored yet again. He had the good fortune to meet up with Isabella and Detmar Blow where subsequently Isabella became both his muse and in part mentor.Philip living in a Blow family property in Elizabeth St in London where he had his atelier and shop. The shop is almost opposite an other shop you must visit in Elizabeth St - Poilane for the most fantastic Parisian bread with their sourdough being a speciality!
