Seeing Red - Valentino's Iconic Colour

It's not an easy feat to brand yourself a colour but Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani, Valentino to me and you, has done just that.

A striking red, neither inky nor neon, but rosy with a hint of yellow.  It works beautifully on the body and Valentino has produced gowns, outerwear and basics in this iconic shade since the House started in 1959.  A diffusion line aptly named REDValentino was launched in 2003 and although Mr. Garavani retired from the house in 2008 the shade continues to bloom (excuse the pun) in the newer collections.

Sifting our archives for the iconic Valentino Red was not a hard task.  The colour pops and draws you in, in fact we were spoilt for choice.

Please enjoy these Valentino pictures celebrating that iconic colour.
