I'm intrigued by the philosophies and braveness of Eileen Fisher in opening in London this year.

The EILEEN FISHER brand being introduced to me by some very well placed advertisements in all the appropriate magazines/journals and the broadsheet press.

SIMPLICITY

As is my archivist nature I clipped the adverts immediately and on showing them to my wife she was smitten by the simplicity of the garments line, she traditionally being an avid follower of Jil Sander, Dries van Noten, Maxmara and Georgio Armani.

On visiting two of the Eileen Fisher shops in London my wife marvelled at the pure quality of the materials used and a recurring  comment  "quite fabulous, quite fabulous, quite fabulous" .

The ethical credentials of working standards, sustainability of natural resources, and genuine concerns about the organic issues is to be admired and there has to have been incredible tenacity to keep to what obviously must be a daily mantra of not been deflected from her 'cast iron' principles.

The whole story since 1984 when the company was formed is commendable
